MONDAY 25 JUNE;
a day completely to yourselves, to do
with as you please, we will of course be
giving many suggestions nearer the time.
Sail Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle,
for early birds there may be an opportunity
to visit Orkney! We can arrange self drive
car rentals, or drivers with cars available
for hire by the hour, so much to see! Why a
free day? European laws decree coach drivers
need certain rest days on tour, this is our
drivers rest day! Overnight Glen Mhor Hotel. Tonight we have a
special
whisky tasting
available, even if you do not like our
national drink, this is a very good
educational night.
TUESDAY 26 JUNE; this morning
we head east to visit
Cawdor Castle and
Gardens. Then to
Glenfiddich distillery
to sample our national drink, where those who wish can have lunch.
Return to our hotel in
Inverness via Elgin, where we will visit
Johnston's shop, the only mill in
Britain to transform cashmere from raw fibre
to finished article. Why not visit a Maclean
pub tonight? Paul's favourite in
Inverness. Not being biased at all, our
hotel has a superb bar, like an old Scottish
bothy, like me, you will no doubt be having
a wee drink here sometime during our stay.
Och so what if Kevin the manager, is a
Campbell!
WEDNESDAY 27 JUNE;
as we head south we will stop at the new
Culloden Visitor Centre and a tour of the
battlefield, it's a new centre you may
not have seen. Our day will continue south
as we stop at the
Black Watch
Regimental
Museum in Perth, superb! The last
group we took here, we had so much trouble
getting them back out! One of Scotland's
oldest regiments, this museum at Balhousie
castle is well worth an hour of anyone's
time, and please, do make any donation you
can to help save it! Then to
Edinburgh
and the George Hotel. A superb 4 star hotel
in the heart of the new town surrounded by
great pubs, shops and restaurants! See our
Edinburgh link for ideas.
THURSDAY 28 JUNE;
a day of freedom in our Capital!
Explore all Edinburgh has to offer - and
that is a lot! As usual we will be giving
suggestions and ideas to you for today,
overnight at the George.
FRIDAY 29 JUNE;
a visit to
Rosslyn Chapel and
Rosslin village, before heading into Glasgow
returning to the Marriott hotel.
Something is being planned for our final
night, so watch this space! THE TOUR ENDS TONIGHT.

airport next morning, it is wise to pre book
these with the lobby desk.
