The 2010 "Lion Challenge"

Scottish Curling and Whisky

This is a team event, a fun challenge, we are not looking for the next world champion!  Trophy for the winning team and medals for all.

Each curler will receive a commemorative medal and the winning team, THE TROPHY.

The Quaich is a drinking cup or bowl originating from Scotland. The word Quaich is attributed to the Gaelic word ‘cuach’, meaning drinking cup. The Quaich hails from medieval times when people were very distrustful of strangers and therefore carried their own cup for fear of either poisoning or watering down of their whisky! Be assured; There will be no watering of the whisky at our challenge! Everyone is welcome to our whisky tasting session in the expert hands of Peter Guthrie, Dewar's. This is what you are all playing for; the Lion Challenge Quaich.  The winning team takes the trophy home with them.  For carrying info; it will be packaged in a box measuring; 10" x, 13", 6.5" depth. Complete with silk interior it is a beautiful trophy representing Scotland and something we are proud of, we hope the winning team is also very proud to keep it, hopefully showing all your friends at home.
