Clan Gathering Tour

for Nile Norton, family & friends.

Still in the planning stages, this is a specially designed tour for Nile's group attending the Gathering in June 2012. We are working with Nile on this trip, as yet is could be a coach tour, or two 9 seater Mercedes vans giving a wee bit more flexibility for those wee roads on Mull.  For more information and booking, please chat to Nile.

Arrive TUESDAY 19 JUNE and stay the first night in Glasgow.

WEDNESDAY 20 JUNE an easy start with a visit to Loch Lomond, some scenic stops en route to the night in Inveraray.

THURSDAY 21 June; the fun starts in earnest today! heading to Oban where you can explore the town. Then board the ferry to MULL. Your accommodation is at Tobermory.

FRIDAY 22 June; depending on transport solutions, this will determine your trip and visits today. Evening fun in Tobermory with Clan events. Overnight Tobermory.

SATURDAY 23 June; the main gathering day at Duart Castle for the 100th Anniversary Gathering of Clan Maclean. All day at the castle. Evening Chief's Party at Tobermory.

SUNDAY 24 JUNE; departing Mull for Inverness.

MONDAY 25 JUNE; day trip based from Inverness.

TUESDAY 26 JUNE; departing for Pitlochry.

WEDNESDAY 27 JUNE; day trips around Pitlochry.

THURSDAY 28 JUNE; arrive into Glasgow

FRIDAY 29 JUNE; all day Glasgow

MCLEANSCOTLAND WOULD LIKE TO OFFER EXTRAS ON THEIR TOUR. These will be in conjunction with many other Maclean's on tour with us, and meet up with Maclean's again. Costs shown soon.

FRIDAY 22 June; details for the golf event. This is a Maclean Open Golf Event for all clan members on Mull today.

SUNDAY 24 June; INVERNESS. A superb storytelling night, we will have a clansman on the run after Culloden, telling us his story about the build up and the actual battle of Culloden Moor. He will show us weaponry and generally give a fantastic insight into life in 1746.

MONDAY 27 JUNE; INVERNESS. Do you enjoy a good dram? Well, for lovers of the "water of life" we are holding a whisky nosing and tasting evening, including how to nose and taste, different drams and some educational tales with our own expert Regis.

FRIDAY 29 JUNE; GLASGOW. We have our own coach tour group and some fly drive Maclean's gathering in Glasgow pre flight home. We have an early light farewell dinner planned for this evening with special bonuses yet to be added, such as pipers.
