Welcome to the MCLEANSCOTLAND

"Book Club of Scottishness"!

These are by no means the only books we recommend, but - boy are they a good selection!  Do you fancy running your eyes over any/all of these books? Well, if you do, we can assist you in obtaining them from our friends here in Scotland, Edinburgh to be exact, we can arrange purchase, payment and shipping for you.  We can also enlarge our comments and the "story of the book" - what its all aboot, just ask us!

Templar Knight at Roslin Chapel has never before been on public display and will not be unveiled until the book's launch! A must for all Templar fans. As many of our readers and friends already know, I am a Scottish Knight Templar and find all this really interesting, even if I do not believe it all!; Paul McLean

James Graham, First Marquis of Montrose (1612-1650) was Scotland’s great cavalier hero. His puritan enemies feared his popularity and compelling honesty as much as his brilliant military victories. One of Scotland's forgotten hero's; Paul McLean.

The attempt by the Company of Scotland to establish a colony at Darien in Central America is one of the best known episodes in late seventeenth century Scottish history. The catastrophic failure of the scheme, one of Scotland's worst losses, was followed a few years later by the Treaty of Union in 1707 which dissolved the Company and ended the existence of the Scottish Parliament. One of the most little know Scottish episodes and one I have read many books on, this is a really good one; Paul McLean

My selection of books relating to Scotland, I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.  Paul.
